Felecia L. Stern

Ms. Stern received her bachelor’s degree in 1989 from Cornell University. She received her J.D. in 1992 from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, where she graduated cum laude and served as Comments Editor on the Law Review.

After graduation, Ms. Stern served as a law clerk to the Honorable Francis X. Altimari of the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. Following her clerkship, and prior to joining Bernstein Liebhard LLP, Ms. Stern worked at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP, where she represented defendant corporations in complex commercial litigations, including many securities fraud class actions and shareholders’ rights litigations. She was also involved in a number of SEC and other governmental investigations.

Ms. Stern joined the firm in 2002, and concentrates her practice in securities fraud actions. She also has significant appellate experience and has worked on important securities appeals during both her tenure at Simpson Thacher and the firm, including In re Initial Public Offering Securities Litigation, one of the largest securities class actions in history. Since joining the firm, Ms. Stern has been involved in several class actions that were successfully resolved on behalf of aggrieved investors and consumers, including In re Deutsche Telekom A.G. Securities Litigation (S.D.N.Y. 2005), which resulted in a $120 million settlement fund for investors.
