Sabina Sosunova received her bachelor’s degree in 1999 from Hunter College, and received her J.D. from Hofstra University School of Law in 2002, where she served as the Managing Editor of Articles of the Hofstra Labor & Employment Law Journal. Ms. Sosunova is the co-author of The Eleventh Amendment: “A Work in Progress,” published in the Fall, 2001 Volume of Hofstra Labor & Employment Law Journal. 19 Hofstra Lab. & Emp. L.J. 255 (2001).
Ms. Sosunova concentrates her practice in securities fraud actions and antitrust. She is currently a member of the team working on In re Initial Public Offering Securities Litigation (S.D.N.Y.) (one of the largest securities class actions in history, which recently settled for $586 million); Republic of Iraq v. ABB Ltd., et al.(S.D.N.Y.) (a suit brought on behalf of the Republic of Iraq and the Iraqi people over the corruption of the United Nations Oil for Food Programme, which allowed the Hussein Regime to sell Iraqi oil to buy food, medicine and other humanitarian aid for the Iraqi people, described by a number of important commentators as the largest financial and political fraud in history); Durgin v. Mon, et al. (In re TOUSA, Inc. Securities Litigation) (S.D. Fla); and In re Railroad Fuel Surcharge Antitrust Litigation (D.D.C.).
Ms. Sosunova is admitted to the Bars of the States of New York and New Jersey. She is also admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
