Ms. Schaefer received her Bachelor’s Degree in 2001 from The Pennsylvania State University. She received her J.D. in 2004 from Albany Law School of Union University, where she served as Notes and Comments Editor of the Albany Law Journal of Science and Technology. The Journal published her article, "Profiling at the Cellular Level: The Future of the New York State DNA Databanks."

Ms. Schaefer is currently working on In re Marsh & McLennan Companies, Inc. Securities Litigation (S.D.N.Y.), which is a securities fraud class action.

Before joining Bernstein Liebharb & Lifshitz, LLP, Ms. Schaefer worked as an associate at the Guy Law Office in Syracuse, New York, where she litigated cases at both the trial and appellate court levels. Ms. Schaefer is admitted to the Bar of the State of New York.
