Bernstein Liebhard LLP is honored to announce that the firm has been recognized by The National Law Journal as one of a select group of “America’s Elite Trial Lawyers” for the third consecutive year.  The firm was selected for its creative and significant work on behalf of plaintiffs in the antitrust litigation category.  The firm was previously selected in 2014 and 2015 for its work on behalf of plaintiffs in the securities litigation category.  The National Law Journal’s focus this year on the firm’s antitrust practice is a testament to the firm’s versatility and excellence in representing plaintiffs in all types of complex litigation.

The firm was recognized for its work in a number of nationwide antitrust class actions, including the In re Polyurethane Foam Antitrust Litigation, No. 10-MD-02196-JZ (N.D. Ohio) ($400 million recovery for the class); the In re Processed Egg Products Antitrust Litigation, No. 08-MD-02002 (GP) (E.D. Pa.) ($60 million recovery for the class); and the In re Fresh and Process Potatoes Antitrust Litigation, No. 10-MD-02186-BLW-CWD (D. Idaho) ($19.5 million recovery for the class).

In making its selection, the editorial staff of The National Law Journal vetted numerous nomination submissions for accomplishments across various categories of plaintiff lawyers, based on particular types of cases in which they’ve excelled.  To qualify, “firms had to have scored at least one significant plaintiffs win” between July 1, 2015 and July 1, 2016 “and possess an impressive track record of wins within the past three to five years.”  To be considered, the firm must have prevailed in a bench or jury trial, or negotiated a major high-stakes settlement (such as a substantial amount of money or an outcome that could affect litigation strategy or case law nationwide).

Bernstein Liebhard LLP, established in 1993, represents plaintiffs in class action and complex litigation and has pursued hundreds of securities, antitrust, consumer, and shareholder rights cases, resulting in over $3.5 billion in recoveries for its clients and the classes it has represented.  For more information, please contact Stanley D.
