Bernstein Liebhard LLP Announces Investigation of Caliper Life Sciences, Inc.

September 8, 2011

Bernstein Liebhard LLP is investigating whether the Board of Directors of Caliper Life Sciences, Inc. (“Caliper” or the “Company”) (NASDAQ: CALP) breached its fiduciary duty to its shareholders in agreeing to sell Caliper to PerkinElmer, Inc.

Under the terms of the agreement, Caliper shareholders will receive $10.50 in cash for each share they own. The investigation is focused on the potential unfairness of the price to Caliper shareholders and the process by which the Caliper Board of Directors considered and approved the transaction.
