Bernstein Liebhard LLP is pleased to announce that five of the firm’s partners have been named by Super Lawyers to be among the top lawyers in New York State. Partners Stanley D. Bernstein, Jeffrey M. Haber, U. Seth Ottensoser, Felecia L. Stern, and Jeffrey S. Grand have all been named as New York Super Lawyers for 2012.
Ms. Stern was listed as one of The Top Women Attorneys in the New York Metro Area, while Mr. Grand was named to the Rising Stars list, which includes less than 2.5 percent of lawyers in New York who are either 40 years old or younger, or in practice for ten years or less. Four of the firm’s partners have been named as Super Lawyers since 2007: Ms. Stern was named as a Super Lawyer in 2011; Mr. Ottensoser was named in 2010, as well as in the Super Lawyers Business Edition in 2011; Mr. Haber was named in 2008, 2009, and 2010, as well as in the Super Lawyers Business Edition in 2011; and Stanley D. Bernstein was named in 2007, 2008, and 2009.
Only five percent of the lawyers in New York are named by Super Lawyers. The selections for Super Lawyers are made by their research team, which is a service of the Thomson Reuters, Legal division based in Eagan, Minnesota. Each year, the research team at Super Lawyers undertakes a rigorous multi-phase selection process that includes a statewide survey of lawyers, independent evaluation of candidates by the attorney-led research staff, a peer review of candidates by practice area, and a good-standing and disciplinary check.
