The National Law Journal named Bernstein Liebhard LLP to its Plaintiffs’ Hot List for the sixth straight year. The Firm was recognized for its work representing plaintiffs in securities litigation, as well as consumer, antitrust, and mass tort litigation.

According to the cover article, the Hot List features “the country’s most impressive plaintiffs’ firms” – firms that did “exemplary, cutting-edge work on the plaintiffs’ side between the summer of 2007 and the summer of 2008,” that represent “the best qualities of the plaintiffs’ bar,” and that demonstrate “unusual dedication and creativity.” Of the fifteen firms named to the list in 2008, Bernstein Liebhard is one of only two firms named for the past six straight years.

The Law Journal featured three of the Firm’s recent successes, including its settlement with Royal Dutch Shell plc (“Shell”) in the United States for a minimum cash value of over $130 million, and a potential value of well over $180 million – not including a $350 million settlement with Shell the Firm was a “substantial factor” in causing in Europe, and an additional $28 million the Firm secured in the U.S. action for the European settlement. The Law Journal also cited the Firm’s settlement with UnitedGlobalCom, which resulted in a $25 million settlement shortly before trial, and its $5 million settlement with Telik Inc.

Bernstein Liebhard LLP is also a member of The National Law Journal’s Plaintiffs’ Hot List “Hall of Fame.”
