Bernstein Liebhard LLP is investigating whether the Board of Directors of Home Properties, Inc. (“Home Properties” or the “Company”) (NYSE: HME) breached its fiduciary duty to its shareholders in agreeing to sell Home Properties to an affiliate of Lone Star Funds.

Under the terms of the agreement, Home Properties shareholders will receive $75.23 in cash for each share they own.  The investigation is focused on the potential unfairness of the price to Home Properties shareholders and the process by which the Home Properties Board of Directors considered and approved the transaction.
